    IE8 Problems

Post by MrMario on Fri May 29, 2009 9:18 pm

Since IE8 came out its a pain in the butt. I try to post long messages on other forums and the scroll bar glitches and moves my message to the top so that you can't see anything. It also frezzes more than IE7. Anyone else getting this issue?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Unfortunately because IE8 is relatively new there is a list of issues with the results but with all different causes which makes it harder to pin point the exact problem.

Does the issues resolve or subside if you select the 'Compatibility View'?

    Using Compatibility View

    Regards

It fixes the jumping problem but it still doesn't fix the frezzing and making the window say Not Responding.

    Hey,

Ok try releasing the Helper class by following these steps

    1. Open IE and select "Tools"

    2. Select "Manage Add-Ons"

    3. Now choose "Enable or Disable Add-Ons"

    4. Under the "Enabled" section look for "SSVHelper Class"

    5. Select and Disable "SSVHelper Class"

    6. Restart your browser and see if that helps slightly,

Also check in your programs list via "Control panel\Uninstall A program" to make sure you don't have unwanted spy ware programs. Despite MS stating IE is the best browser out for security it DOES have security issues at current.

    Regards
