    What the max CPU usage for FireFox 3. My Friend and I are going way over 60-90% of usage on 3 Tabs. Witch I found out that my computer freezes only on FireFox.

    Well unfortunately there is no such thing as "Max CPU Usage" with Firefox lmao however here is a tutorial to rectify the memory and CPU leaks that cause Firefox to munch your CPU Smile

    ***Type "about:config" into your address bar and hit "Enter", from here you can do the various procedures below***

    browser.cache.memory.capacity

    1. Right click on the page and choose "New" then "Integer"

    2. Name it "browser.cache.memory.capacity"

    3. For the value enter a low number roughly 80% of the default

    Spoiler:
    32MB -> 2048kb
    64MB -> 4096kb
    128MB -> 6144kb
    256MB -> 10240kb
    512MB -> 14336kb
    1GB -> 18432kb
    2GB -> 24576kb
    4GB -> 30720kb
    8GB+ -> 32768kb

    browser.cache.disk.capacity

    1. In the second address bar type "browser.cache.disk.capacity"

    2. "browser.cache.disk.capacity" should now be shown below the second search bar

    3. Double click the "browser.cache.disk.capacity" shown below the second url bar and set the value to "15000"

    network.prefetch-next

    1. In the second address bar type "network.prefetch-next"

    2. "network.prefetch-next" should now be shown below the second search bar

    3. Double click the "network.prefetch-next" shown below the second url bar and set the value to "False"

    browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers

    1. In the second address bar type "browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers"

    2. "browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers" should now be shown below the second search bar

    3. Double click the "browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers" shown below the second url bar and set the value to a seriously low number like 6

    To speed up Firefox you can also refer to the following

    The above is to be used as a guide, If you experience any issues please reverse the steps before trying to reinstall the browser

    Regards
