    Hey dave Smile

Its not good news I'm afraid,

This error message isn't in any of the manuals as it is an known issue however one that Canon have to explanation for,
The error message appears only after you change the cartridges over, when you place the new ones in the printer heads fail to detect the cartridge, If you try and clean the printer heads then the error should change to "Unable to detect cartridge"

My advice would be to contact Canon and book a service/repair of the printer, take it back to the shop you purchased it from and arrange a service there or submit the issues online via their support website,

All details can be found at the following link

    https://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer_Products/contact_support/index.aspx

    My apologies

    Regards

    Craig

I'm sorry about the printer, normally for Canon errors there is a fix, however this is one of the few that even Canon's technical staff have issues with. If its still under warranty you should get a replacement for a model that is equivalent price or value.

If i come up with any ways around it i will let you know shortly,

(I have the same printer with the same error up stairs lol)

    Regards

    Craig
