ok i found a FIX for game explorer box art

now this has to do with the registry & i assume responsiblilty

click start in ( start search ) type in regedit
    Local_Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/GameUX

find the game that u want to update
right click on right pane new string value name it BoxArt then put the image link

for battlefield 2 it should like this
    C:\Users\The WarLord\Game BoxArt\battlefield 2 Box Art.jpg

u can find box art by Yahoo battlefield 2 boxart or just make one

then put a Qword(64bit) name it TimeToRefreshBoxArt set Decimal 1

i think microsoft should make it that when u goto were the game is installed or goto start menu & right click on the game's exe it should have there Add To Game's Explorer

like it does for music, video file's also i think Game's Explorer should have a search for all intsalled game's & a update progress window that way u know that it's looking for boxart, patch's,rating other info on the game then let u edit as much u want to

what u think about not sure why they didnt do that anyway's just make's sense to me

    Try Vista Game Explorer Editor

This program simply allows you to edit your VGE (Vista Game Explorer) and add/remove items there to improve it's looks and functionality.

If you install SP1 after using VGEE to fix up your games folder - you may need to use the 'Repair VGE' funtion in VGEE to remove all your games and re-add them. Prior to installing SP1 - you may want to use VGEE to export all of your games to .vgi files so that you can easily add them back afterwards.

    Regards

Try disabling Norton and using a lighter virus protection such as avast of AVG to see if the explorer updates.

Its a good thought you've had there and it is possible this is a cause,
