well hopefully there wont be any black screens, only time will tell

Or if you try to play a game, normally that will trigger the card to work harder and cause the black screen

If it doesn't appear then we have a temporary solution Very Happy

    Regards

    ive updated the graphic card

Ive tryed to contact Support from the ATI but they just want to fix the same one.

So, your question is you want a recommendation?

I'd recommend nVidia. What type of graphic card do you want? Gaming? High end gaming? or just a standard user?

Well what I done when having a couple of issues on my laptop was to disable to Vista automatic driver discover to stop Vista replacing drivers

Uninstalled my old drivers and simply installed a standalone bundle from NVidia

    To disable driver discovery

    1. Select "Start"

    2. Right click on "Computer" then select "Properties"

    3. Go to the "Advanced System Settings" (in the upper left)

    4. Select the "Hardware" tab

    5. Click "Windows Update Driver Settings" and change it to "Ask You Everytime"

    6. Restart your PC

    7. Uninstall Previous drivers from "Uninstall A Program"

    8. Reboot and select "No" when it asks if you want to install the drivers

    9. Select the drivers you want from the NVidia website and again restart

This appears to work a treat Very Happy

    Regards

Thankfully it is the same process for the automatic drivers in XP,

If you download the standalone drivers they should work fine on that chipset
Because they are standalone they use the same existing hardware but the software changes Smile

    Regards
