The start up itself is fairly simple Smile

    1. Select "Start" and click "Run"

    2. Type "Msconfig" and press enter

    3. A new screen will appear, Select the "Startup" tab

    4. Uncheck all services, all except essential items,

Such as Anti-Virus software, Windows defender ....etc

If you are unsure about a program or process please refer to UniBlue: Process Library. You should find all process's and relevant information here.

    5. Once done select "Apply", "Ok" and "Exit Without Restart"

The next time you start your PC you will see an enhancement in the time taken to reach the desktop 😁

    regards

Hmmmmmmm How long does it take on average to boot up?
It should normally be on average 1 minute to 1 minute 30 depending on the software installed and how old the PC is.

    Regards

Maybe that is why, I couldn't be certain however normally if you are using an older machine and a higher version of an Operating System then most of the time spent loading at start-up will be for page filing and system file swap outs to allow the operating system to load properly with all its features.

    Try this

    1. Click "Start", click "Control Panel", and then double-click "Add or Remove Programs"

    2. Click "Add/Remove Windows Components". The Windows Components Wizard should now start

    3. In the Components list, click to clear the check box next to the component that you want to remove. Note that a shaded check box next to a component indicates that only some of its subcomponents are installed

If you want to remove a subcomponent, click "Details", click to clear the check box next to the subcomponents that you want to remove, and then click "OK".

    4. Click "Next".

    5. In the Completing the Windows Components Wizard screen, click "Finish".

Note that this will not delete these features however it will stop them from being used, This may free up a lot of space if you are eliminating features you never need or use, If you are unsure don't untick

    Regards
